Cookie Policy

Last updated

This policy explains what cookies are, which ones this site uses — it’s a short list — and how you stay in control of them. It works alongside our Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small file a website stores on your device to remember something from one visit to the next. Neighbouring technologies, such as the browser’s local storage, play the same role; we group them all under the word “cookies” here.

What this site uses

The complete list fits on one line: a single, strictly necessary cookie.

  • Display language (NEXT_LOCALE): remembers whether you read the site in French or in English, so your next visit opens in the right language. It contains nothing else and serves no other purpose.

What this site does not use

  • No analytics cookies: we don’t track your browsing and run no audience-measurement tools.
  • No advertising cookies: no tracking, no retargeting, no profile built behind your back.
  • No third-party cookies: no social networks or outside services watching your visit.

Even the performance figures shown on this site are measured in your browser: they never leave your device.

If this ever changes

If we ever add tools that require non-essential cookies, they will stay off until you give your consent, as Québec’s Law 25 and PIPEDA require — and this policy will be updated before they arrive.

Staying in control

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Deleting the language cookie has exactly one consequence: the site will work out your language again on your next visit.
